Make-Up Textbook Distribution Event Monday, September 14
CANCELLED

Post

Good morning, John F. Kennedy Families.

This is Principal David Van Natten.

Smoke from numerous wildfires that continue to burn in northern California has contributed to unhealthy air quality throughout the Sacramento Valley. At the direction of the school district, all textbook distribution scheduled for today has been canceled. Teachers will be notified, and students will not be penalized.

"Zoombombing"

Post

Dear John F. Kennedy Families:

As some may already know, schools around the nation are confronting a phenomenon known as “zoombombing,” defined as unwanted disruptions by Internet hackers during a Zoom class or meeting. In an effort to minimize these disturbances at John F. Kennedy, teachers will enable a feature that allows only authenticated users to enter our virtual classrooms. This additional layer of security allows students in but keeps others out.
