Virtual Graduation Ceremony Announced

Dear Students and Families of the Class of 2020:

Recently, the District announced virtual graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2020. This means that an online ceremony will take the place of our traditional event. While I understand that it will not be quite the same as in years past, the staff and I are working together to make sure that this is a special experience for students and their families.

In the coming days, you will receive a number of updates as well as requests for student participation, including uploads of video clips to the Class of 2020 Google Classroom. I invite seniors to join that class now. Be sure to use a District student account to register, and enter the code “un7hfcn” when prompted.

Cap and gown distribution has been scheduled for Thursday, May 21st between 1 and 5 p.m. Whether you purchased your own or reserved one from the school, caps and gowns will be distributed during this drive-thru event hosted by Josten’s and located at Kennedy. If you have not yet ordered your cap and gown, there is still time. Go to You must place your order by no later than May 18. If interested in a cap and gown from the school, please email “Ms. M” at Supplies are limited, so do not wait.

To maintain the honor and significance of the commencement ceremony, students will be invited to wear their cap and gown at home during the virtual, interactive graduation ceremony.

As always, if you have a question or concern, I encourage you to contact me at

Please take care, and I look forward to seeing you soon.
